LAE Board of Directors


The LAE Board of Directors is composed of association leaders who are active education employees elected by their peers to act for the association in between meetings of the Representative Assembly.

You must be a member for at least three consecutive years to be eligible to serve on the board.

There are currently three vacant seats. 

ASSOCIATIONAL DISTRICT 2, SEAT B: Representing Avoyelles, Caldwell, Catahoula, Concordia, East Carroll, East Feliciana, Franklin, Grant, Iberville, LaSalle, Madison, Morehouse, Ouachita, Pointe Coupee, Rapides, Richland, St. Helena, St. Martin, Tensas, West Baton Rouge, West Carroll, West Feliciana, and Winn parishes and the City of Monroe.

ASSOCIATIONAL DISTRICT 3, SEAT A (MINORITY SEAT): Representing Acadia, Calcasieu, Cameron, Evangeline, St. Landry, and Vermilion parishes.

ASSOCIATIONAL DISTRICT 4, SEAT B: Representing East Baton Rouge, Livingston, Tangipahoa, and Washington parishes, the cities of Baker, Bogalusa, Central, and Zachary, and the Louisiana School for the Deaf and Visually Impaired (LSDVI), Association for Correctional Employees (ACE-Baton Rouge), and Special School District 1 (SSD1).

If you are interested in applying, please send your letter of intent and resume to Kenton Cooper at kcooper@lae.org by September 3, 2019 at noon. The next LAE Board meeting is scheduled for September 6, 2019, and the seats will be appointed at this meeting.
