Lack of adequate and equitable funding, our accountability system’s ever-increasing standards, the unfunded federal mandates (brought on by the No Child Left Behind Act), the shortage of qualified and certified teachers, increasing health care costs, and the need to improve salaries and protect pensions are only a few of the issues that we as educational professionals face today.

The only way to successfully challenge these issues is through a single, unified voice speaking for public school employees and working to advance public education. LAE is that recognized professional association.
