Flickr: LAE Photo Sharing
What is Flickr? A photo management and sharing website owned by Yahoo.
Flickr is the official website for LAE photo organizing and photo sharing. As part of LAE’s social media tools, Flickr is an effective way for LAE to organize and give you access to view and download photos of LAE events.
You may view LAE photos on Flickr, but Flickr is a social media tool, so you must sign up for a free account if you want to copy any of the photos. Flickr also offers a “pro” account for unlimited photo storage and a wide range of organizing capabilities.
Once you have created your own Flickr account, search for LAEducators under the “people” category. This will bring you to our page via your page. Browse the photos, select one, then right click with your mouse to “copy image” for pasting or “save image as” for downloading the photo to your computer.
If you have taken photos from NEA or LAE events, or photos from events sponsored by your local, you can submit them with the event information via email to the LAE Communications Dept. for potential posting on the LAE Flickr Site. Your local can also start their own Flickr site and link to LAE’s Flickr and NEA Flickr sites.
Click on LAE Social Media Tools for information and links to all of LAE’s social media. Links to all of LAE’s social media sites are also provided in a blue box on the bottom of the LAE homepage. You may also contact sharon.terrell@lae.org or 1-800-256-4523, ext. 112 for more information.
